This is my training plan. Basically just modified Hal Higdon's intermediate one to keep my strength at 3x a week. If anyone has any critiques, please let me know. I'm also hoping I could maybe find someone who wants to train for a 15K themself that may be around the same time period. I know it's not an incredibly popular distance, but it's my stepping stone to the Half in December, so I'm looking forward to this.

Since you are training for a specific event and date you should increase your distance and frequency of running so that a week or two before, you have already completed a 15k.

    sunday - 5k
    monday - 2mile
Tuesday - 1 mile with sprints
Wednesday - bike, elliptical, rowing machine
    Thursday - day off
    Friday - 5k
    Sat - 10k

the following week increase the distance to 7k on monday and a 12k on Sat...etc

You can find training schedules online that are more specific and have experts input

My long runs are actually on Thursday, and the last one before the race actually does have me doing 10 miles. (16km).

Starting Monday. Bumping to see if anyone else might be interested (I know the date is specific in the schedule, but whenever you may have one in your area).
