I had to recreate my account. I just need to be held accountable. I'm Ashley. I'm 27 years old. Hairstylist. Mother of 2 beautiful babies! I need to drop weight and stay on track!

weird thought..and this will sound cold and blunt. but how about you just do it for you and forget anyone or anything else thats keeping you from your goal?
This way when "sheila" lets you down and she will not cuz she's bad or anything but because she has her own life to live and manage and get on with....you don't derail.
I see so much of this expectation by those wishing to lose weight but "needing" someone else to "give them motivation" or hold them accountable blah blah blah. it just frankly does not work that way.
You Ash, will get tired of MFP and will not give a rats @ss what sheila has to say some days either. not cuz you are bad...just because the two of you and frankly 99.9 % of the rest of the people you will meet on here have no real personal connection.
All that to say, sure have friends on here, sure support each other...but DETERMINE ON YOUR OWN that nothing will stop you from reaching your goals.
I feel like we put out a plea for help, with the underlying subliminal thought that "i've just got my excuse for failure" cuz i can't do this on my own and none of those MFP people held me accountable enough for me to succeed"
see what i'm saying? its hard to just say. ok dammit..i'm doing this and then saying....here on MFP, hey anyone wanna be my friend and watch me as I go?. Thats where the rubber meets the road.
Just do it! and take others with you if you find some good connections, but regardless..just do it!3 -
Hey Ash! I've been there. You're tired today but tomorrow there'll be an excuse. No one else but you can truly hold you accountable and keep you on track. If you want it you're going to have to fight a battle within yourself to get it.
What helps me stay on track is finding motivation through others and myself. Setting goals and meeting or exceeding them. Not just aesthetic goals but fitness and nutritional goals also. Find a way to make your journey fun and not a chore or struggle. You can do it. We all believe in you but we can't do it for you. Good luck Hun!0 -
