Why won't this app give me calorie burning credit for weight lifting strength training?

Put it under cardio and input your minutes.

The strength training section records your sets and reps only.

Keep in mind: the burn is generous.

I just ignore the calories I might have burned strength training. For all the effort you put in, it doesn't really burn that many ergs. It builds your muscles, flexes your joints, and raises your hear rate but the periods of actual effort don't really add up to much. Burn your calories on the cardio machines.

Thank you Michael and Samantha! I just started this last week. My blood pressure has been too high since I've had a baby back in April, and the Dr said that if I lose the baby weight my pressure will go down. The wellness coordinator told me that I need to trade my fat for muscle. I've been running and spinning for the past several months, but he said those are doing nothing for me except giving me endurance. He said to add weight training. I haven't done that since high school! (I apologize for all this unnecessary information. Lol.)

If you want to lose weight you need a calorie deficit. Exercise of any form can help create this but diet is the place to start.
