My weight has not gone down for almost 2 weeks. I walk daily on the treadmill for 45 - 60 minutes and at least twice a week I do Kettleworx. Im trying to hard to be happy with the weight I've lost but I still have so far to go. My sister in law is losing weight with me and she is almost at her goal after losing 30 pounds...Im so very proud of her but I so wish I was at goal too... err but I know what I need to do to make it to my goal just need to stay focused....

sorry posted on wrong message board :-)

It may be time to switch up your exercise routine. Walk faster, or at an incline. Try jogging for some of that.

Have you sat and analyzing your food diary to see if you could be making better choices?

first of all, you've lost as much weight as your sister in law, so well done! plateaus do happen. and it may be time to get off that treadmill. the body adapts quickly. try the eliptical or the bike for a while. make sure you push yourself hard on the cardio, really get that heartrate up. i walked on a treadmill for the first 3 mos and found that my body just adapted and i wasn't working as hard as i could be. maybe add some running intervals to the mix. take some classes at the gym. i do three bootcamp classes a week and i've really noticed that my strength and flexibility has increased leaps and bounds since i started those. Don't be afraid to push yourself. and yeah, make sure that 90% of the time you make the absolutely best food choice that you can.

You are doing really well. Keep it up, don't give up, and the plateau will break.

I agree with Lefty! You have to switch your exercise routine up and also reevaluate your calories :) This always helps me break my plateau :)

I agree, pick up the pace, and make sure you are staying within your calories. Sometimes you gain muscle mass that cover up your weight loss. The goal is for better health not be a super model. Trust me stick with and fight extra hard through plateaus it will pay off. Rome wasn't built in a day, you didn't gain the weight over night, so be patient it isn't going to come off fast. In the past I have done different 7 day system flushes to get my body back on track, I can't say its the best practice but it doesn't hurt either. I am on a 10 week plateau and it gets discouraging but I don't even think about giving up. I can tell there is definitely a change in my body composition that and I feel good.

Thank you guys...I think I was having a hard day yesterday. Id love to join a gym but cant afford it right now but I will find another way to change up my routine. I've also decided not to eat dinner with my family for a few days and see if that helps. Dinners with the family are important to me but its the only meal I can see room for improvement. In the beginning i was only eating the meat they were having and did veggies or a salad with it, so I think I'll try that again. On a happier note I did my body measurements last night and was pleased to see they have changed even though the scale has not. Im gonna take the kids skating today then off for a hike tomorrow at Red Rock Canyon...
