TRACK *ALL* NUTRIENTS: Ask MFP for Option

I have emailed MFP to ask to increase number of nutrients we can track and see on daily food diary. It is simple: They can just add more boxes to input our choices of nutrients to track on this "Settings" page:

For people who are pre-diabetic, or have anemia or reduced kidney function, and many other disease conditions, tracking *all important nutrients* is vital.
But MFP never does it and don't take it seriously.
To Everybody who wants this *choice*, please post here *and* email MFP under the "Help" tab and request option to track *all* nutrients. Thanks.

First, this might be better placed in the MFP Suggestions/Feedback Section of the forums, at least in terms of visibility.
Second, it does track these things.The website diary just doesn't display all of them. If you have a smart phone and use the mfp app, you can see that pretty much everything gets tracked if you look under Nutrition > Nutrient Details.

The issue with tracking all nutrients is that most food labels do not provide information about all nutrients. So even if MFP did squeeze all the nutrients onto one screen, you would be analyzing incomplete data, which is probably why they chose to limit the nutrients you are able track to those found on labels.0

See post above yours - most pre-packaged foods only list a few (if any at all) micronutrients, so even if they did add them to the reports, you wouldn't have accurate data.0 -

I don't disagree. I was just offering information that may or may not have been known as a workaround.
People should make whatever suggestions they want, but I don't really see this one happening anytime soon. And for those who do have a smart phone, it may be helpful.

Meh, if someone is that concerned with accurate data due to a medical condition, I'd suggest putting their own information into the database regardless.

They should incorporate this as an option. Fats are are already set to 0 which is essentially an option. Poly and monounsaturated fats for example.0

If you choose the USDA database entries, this is already done.
Now, if the powers that be would just make that database (admin entered) easier to find, THAT would be a huge help.0
