Fresh start

A few weeks ago I went to the doctors for a prescription and he mentioned the topic of my weight and being too heavy...I was mortified!

He insisted that I get blood tests done to make sure all was working ok – the results came back yesterday and I am fine!

Everything is in working order – I was glad but also made me think that there is nothing holding me back but me! I am overweight because I eat too much and move too little!

He has now referred me to a nutrition and weight management course through the NHS – 8 weeks and will include 1-2-1 sessions as well. I am hoping it will be a push I need to get me out of this rut I am so comfortable in.

I started a diary last night – I am going to use it to log my weight and measurements, top tips, diary of my thoughts – good and bad on when I binge or resist a binge.... basically to help me figure out why I do what I do.

Wish me luck = this is my fresh start

I have set myself a few mini goals to work towards and feel really positive today. xx

Good luck! Why not use MFP as your recording tool, it allows you to track everything your doctor wants and there's a notes section for daily thoughts plus the blogs.

Yes will be using MFP for food tracking for sure - but need something more personal as I have a lot of emotional issues surrounding food and the battle of to binge or not to binge!

This way I will have something to focus on in the evenings when I may have an urge.....

Will definitely keep on here too though - thank you

Wishing you all the best, it's so hard when you put the weight back on, I'm the same last year I lost 21lbs and have put back on 8 of those and it's hard to get motivated again. But I have started walking again so I'm hoping this will get the weight moving once more. Please add me if you'd like some more support I know that I could do with some more friends on here to get me motivated!

Take care and good luck, Angie
