Hi everyone,
I'm craving cheesecake but don't like to buy the ones in the stores that are full of fat and sugar. Has anyone tried a recipe for cheesecake that is low in calories and sugar and tasty at the same time ?

you can always try a regular recipe and change everything that can be changed to lower calorie options. Like low cal.cream cheese,use less sugar in whatever needs it, use lower calorie butter if you have those, or just use less than what the recipe suggests and add some milk or water instead.1

@Finallyfit1976 Skinnytaste has 13 different kinds of cheesecake recipes - a bar, a shooter, muffins, no-bake, etc.
I've tried the pumpkin cheesecake muffins, the strawberry no bake, and the yogurt red white and blue. All of them were fantastic.

Real cheesecakes are amazing and I make them for special occasions. But this one is guilt free, I eat a slice everyday, make it weekly and it helps me with the protein intake while fulfilling the sweet tooth haha These also freeze VERY well. I make 8 portions / slices and freeze. Take one out when I want one and into the toaster oven for few minutes to warm up while I make coffee. Delish. If you make it let me know how you like it.
Notice I do not add any sweetener or sugar to this. If you like things sweet add honey or make a sweet topping like a jam or a fruit compote.
Fat Free Cream Cheese (340g) package
Plain Fat Free Greek Yogurt (340g)
2 Eggs
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
2 Scoops Protein Powder (I prefer vanilla or mocha) whatever flavour you add here will flavour your cheesecake
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl until all combined.
Take out and spray a 6’’ cake pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Put parchment paper inside your cake pan.
Bake on 325°F for 30:00.
Turn your oven down to 200°F and bake for another 60:00.
Let cool in the oven then put in the fridge for at least couple hours or better yet overnight.

Me and my husband liked it. Flavor was really good and we topped it with some sweetened blueberries. I feel like I cheated a little and had dessert for breakfast!
So I did chill it over night. Mine came out a little dry, but I think the vanilla protein powder I use is a little denser and could have used about 3/4 of it.. I might also add a little more vanilla only because although my protein powder is called Gourmet Vanilla you would think that it would be really sweet and very vanilla, but its not very sweet and just a tad dull in flavor.. But I do have birthday cake and chocolate.. actually my birthday cake is really sweet and not very birthday cake flavor like, but has a really nice flavor..
So I give this 5 stars... Its helps me meet my macros and this is a huge plus!!!

Do u use the protein power to make it thick ? Can i just use coco powder instead ? Thanks0 -
Protein powder is for well... protein aspect of this cheesecake as well as flavour. If you dont use it it will have different macros. You sure could use coco or any other powder flavouring instead.
I wonder about the texture though, Quest powder makes things thicker and I wonder how much softer the texture would be without it.0 -
The reason cheesecake is delicious is because it is full of fat and sugar. Neither one of those things are bad unless they make you go over your calorie goal. It's usually a good idea to try to figure out how to fit occasional treats into your plan, and it makes it easier to stick with your goals in the long run!0

The flavor turns out perfect and the entire mixture is probably close to a slice of cheesecake in terms of calories.0

Agreed, although man it's tough to fit a piece of cheesecake IMO, it's one of the worst desserts calorie-wise (with pecan pie probably).0 -

I am willing to bet that if I were to make you this and in a blind taste with the same toppings (chocolate or fruit or none) you will not be able to tell the "real" version from "this bustardized" version. Also this entire cake has as many calories as about 1/8 of the real thing
I admit I haven't tried fat free, just low fat, lol.
I got to make it again though. Got protein powder to use up. Maybe fat free this time.0 -
Be careful getting fat free stuff. When natural fats are taken out of something like dairy its normally replaced with something thats worse. So 9 times out of 10 its better to just get full fat so you know it wont have chemicals or additives1
