I love, love ice cream. But after deciding to go sugar free (processed sugars), that meant no more store bought ice cream. So I gave this a try:

1 frozen banana in small chunks
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp powdered peanut butter (or use natural pb)
1/2 tbsp cocoa

I combined these in my blender until smooth then poured into my ice cream maker. You can make ice cream without one, just using your freezer, mix often until the right consistency.

I just made a single serving and it was delicious. Not a bad alternative to the full sugar, crazy calories, store bought ice cream. The banana adds sweetness and with the cocoa and pb, was not too overpowering. Just make sure the banana wasn't too over ripe before freezing.

Hope you enjoy!

sounds yummy. I freeze my fruit when its not at its best then when have enough fruit and a bit of no fat yogurt I just waz<blend> them together, it can be eaten right away or can be frozen, it will be quite hard if frozen but that just slows me down slowly scrapping it off. It will soften up nicely if you can wait that long.(not me) I like banana and wild strawberries the best.
