100%WHEY PROTEIN...3x???

Okay, so I've been on Bodybuilding.com bc i looked to that site to start out a good fitness/exercise weekly schedule for myself. Which i am already seeing results.
Im not big on eating 6 small meals a day..and normally only do the 3 meals with dinner always seeming to be my biggest bc im never hungry in the morning and only get 30 mins for lunches so i done eat as much there.
I saw that they supplement in Whey Protein for a mid morning snack, afternoon(pre workout) snack and Post workout. Since ive been going to the gym i've only been doing the 100% Whey Protein Shake right after i work out. But im really thinking of starting to do the supplement like it says the three times a day bc im really trying to tone while still trying to cut fat.
Questions i have .... Is it okay to do the same 100% Whey Protein Scoop Mix for the three supplemented small meals, or should there be a different one for my post workout?
Has anyone seen better results with doing this?
The only thing i saw with doing the protein right after post workout was that I'm MUCH less hungry at dinner and dont eat as much, or snack at all when i get home.
Does anyone have any input on this?

I do protein drink as soon as I am done exercising. It keeps me from getting headaches and cuts hunger.0

Disclaimer: I'm not a nutritionist or a hard core body builder...so I'd recommend stopping by a reputable local place to ask questions before making a final decision (I can recommend a chain via wall post if you'd like...specific store not mentioned here to abide by forum rules).
I've been back to the gym with great results for three months and I recently added really good sports nutrition to my regimen. I've had very good luck by using smart snacks and protien shakes in the last couple of weeks. It's allowed me to manage calores better, get a better balance of nutrients, and feel more satisfied. There are two very general types of protien shake to consider (this assumes you're looking for general health/fitness and not looking to "bodybuild"):
1. Post Workout Recovery: This is your traditional maximum protien shake, usually supplemented with L-Glutamine and mixed with water. The purpose of this shake is to get nutrients to your muscles after a workout to speed healing and muscle growth, and to help your body keep burning fat instead of feeding on muscle. The reason for water mixing is to allow for more rapid absorption to the body.
2. Snack / Meal Replacement Shake: These shakes are still focused on protein, but they are a little more blanced and can serve as a meal replacement if you're in a bind (and if you're not hungry in the morning, it may be a good alternative for you). They generally taste better and can be taken with milk (again...to taste a bit better) since they're intended to provide better blood-sugar management and general nutrition.
I generally have a Snack shake w/ water in the afternoon to keep me going and allow me to get to the gym with some energy. I'll do the post workout recovery shake within 30 minutes of my workout, and then if I need to satisfy my sweet tooth for a snack in the evening, I've moved away from low fat ice cream to a milk based snack shake.
If it helps, I can recommend a specific brand that both I and my spouse have been exceptionally happy with (the snack shakes are downright tasty good). Good luck.0 -
Definitely agree with your post work out recovery drink. Its a must. It will keep those muscles from being quite as sore. I don't think using the same type of protein makes a difference. However for you own benefit I would find new ways to drink that. I mix mine up with ice, 2% milk, 1 tbsp of p. butter. Sometimes I use greek yogurt and banana, greek yogurt and berries/fruit. The variety will help you in keeping with it. Also the most unmentioned topic with 3 times a day protein drinks is constipation. The addition of fruit to a couple of those drinks will assist in mother nature moving things naturally. I've tried the 3 days of protein drinks. By the end of the day 5 I was regretting it.0

We user Super Fortress Whey form Walmart. Its $14 for a large container. We found cookies and cream is smoother and less gritty than chocolate or vanilla. Also GNC makes a great Whey Anabolic Protein powder that increases protein absorption.0
