Creamy, hot OVERNIGHT OATS as you roll out of bed - from your rice cooker!

Hi everyone,

I am a little obsessed with a recent discovery and I wanted to share with others -- rice cookers can handle oats! Given oats are a grain just like rice, it shouldn't really be such a surprise, but it's been a bit of a game changer for me.

My rice cooker has a time delay function, so I put water and my steel cut or thick rolled oats in, set the timer, and when I wake up I have a perfect breakfast ready to go. If your rice cooker doesn't have a timer, then I guess you could set it to cook, have a shower, and it'd be done by the time you got dressed?

Amazing!

(By the way, other things I have discovered can be cooked in a rice cooker -- quinoa, dried beans, cake (!!), fried rice, pasta, soup, dried lentil and so many other things!)
