My hubby can eat anything he wants to, and doesn't gain a thing! AND HE DOES. We go shopping for food and stock up on things every pay day( every two weeks)....AND HE EATS THEM ALL before I have a chance to have a bit....lol! I can only eat 1300 calories a day! By the time the 2nd week rolls by, all the "good stuff" is gone:( I didn't even get a chance to try em. The avocadoes are gone, yummy cereal, turkey breast, deli meat, (and any low calorie snacks I bought)........I like avocadoes, I love cereal, I'd love to have some turkey breast...

I've had ENOUGH! Last night I put some bananas away and said," Thomas! These are my bananas!"....how funny, huh?

End of Rant ;)

HA HA! You're funny. I have the same problem. I'll buy something with plans of portioning it out for a while and my hubby will chow the whole container in front of the tube or something. I look for it later and am like WTH!?

I thought I was the only one with this problem! I buy lots of fruit and fresh veg and before I can turn around twice or even get a crack at it--the hubby has eaten it! To be fair, he is also trying to lose about 40 pounds, so he's trying to fill up on healthy stuff, but yikes, its like a black hole exists in my fridge!

Maybe set aside a few things after each shopping trip and put them in your own drawer in the fridge and have youor own little basket in the pantry that is off limits to the hubby. And no matter how hungry he gets tell him that he can not touch those items.

I am married to the same man! LOL They keep telling me "it'll catch up to him"... However, I look at his father, who is identical to him, and think, no it will never catch up to him! I hope our kids get his metabolism and not mine.

Maybe you just need to buy more on your shopping trips.

My kids to that to me so I decided to go grocery shopping and take all of "my" foods to work. I keep the pantry items in my desk and the cold items in the frig at work. At least at work I don't have to worry about my food disappearing....LOL

My hubby can eat pretty much whatever he wants as well. I'm just glad he doesn't like "healthy" foods all that much. He won't eat cooked veggies, and he'll only eat them raw if I make dip. Avocados? He'll eat them if I put them on taco dip! LMAO is right! I guess I'm lucky he won't eat that stuff. :drinker:

You just made me feel grateful about a situation I've been brewing over! My husband is thin and can eat whatever he wants (which makes me fume) and when I shop for groceries I get "my stuff" and "his stuff". Dinners are usually comprised of a lower calorie version of something we both like, or a moderate calorie something that I have to portion out smaller. When it comes to extras and snacks...oh boy! He gets giant packs of Oreos, Double-stuffed E.L. Fudge, Doritos, "butterific" popcorn, etc., and wont touch the fruits, veggies, turkey, or "light" snacks that I buy..

I guess I should be thankful that one of us has a decent metabolism and that I'm not having to make double trips to the store to make sure I have good foods! Good luck!!

Food disappears overnight around here with 2 teenage boys and my husband. Mostly the boys. They are both taller than me now, as of my 13 year old's most recent growth spurt. That's what I get for marrying a tall guy. :)

I can eat an entire carton of strawberries without my husband ever getting one, lol. He says it's okay, but I know it's not. I really should be more considerate. *sheepish face*

LOL!!! Why I had my mouth all set to have a turkey/provolone sandwich for lunch today and my sweet hubby decided to eat all the turkey!!! UGH. I put the bread that I had all prepared in the fridge on a paper towel so he can see how I attempted to make me a sandwich. I had to resort to PB & J - but that's an extra 5 min I could have been at work already!

I live in a huge household, and people are eating up the food before I even get the chance to taste it. If I really want to save something for myself, I either put my name on it (along with the food weight in grams, and calorie info... THAT makes people go "wow, she's really serious about this, I better not touch it") or keep the food in my room.

This is what my husband does and it drives me crazy!! He's not doing it to "hide" the food from me because I eat it... he does it because he's too lazy to just grab one or to put some in a bag so he grabs the entire box or bag of food and just takes it to work!

Also I tend to get annoyed that my husband doesn't like any "adult foods" (thats what i call them) but I suppose judging by the other posters on here it may be a blessing in disguise! If I buy avocados, fish, carrots, hummus, etc my husband won't even dream of touching them! Now the doritos, apples, pizza, chicken nuggets, etc will be gone in a flash!
