I got up and ran one day...

March 2015 I woke up and decided to run 1 mile. It took me 14 minutes and I thought I was going to die. I kept running and running and running, losing 40 lbs in the process. Fast forward to last Sunday, I got 1st place in my age group at a 5k race. Race photo below.

a little like Forest!
the only time I run is if someone is chasing me. as I age - that has narrowed even further too - I only run if someone with a weapon is chasing me. I am envious of those who run and love it. Congrats on your health journey and wish you continued success in your running career!!4 -
Very inspiring for those of us who harbor inner runners but haven't fully embraced them! Lol. Way to do it!3

Inspiring! I got inspired to jog a little on a walk recently, did it, then that seemed to have cured me, lol. If inspiration strikes again I'll think of you! Way to go!!2

I wish I could run - my head does not tell my feet - obviously this is a mental thing. So envious of my friend, she says she can run forever and ever.0

I like the message. You woke up one day and decided to act. So why not run? Love it. I can see how automatic running can be.. get the shoes on and get out the door. Now here you are.. fit.. and in first place in a race0
