Wow, your story hits home in a very real way for me. I lost my father in June, and started MFP in July. I've lost 22 lbs so far, and hope to stay the path and be able to post a similar success story down the road. Congrats on your hard work, and thank you so much for sharing. Reading this is just what I needed, and you've instantly become my motivation to keep pushing.7

You look amazing. I would start weight training now. I do a mixture of cardio and weights and have noticed a defininte change in shape - much more toned and rather than bulking up I look slimmer. They say more muscle burns fat faster, so could be a double win.3

Wow! Amazing job! You are my new inspiration. I'm currently a size 22 with a 42 in waist... I have 140 pounds to lose before I am in a healthy BMI range and you did so great in just one year... Here's to hoping that I am so successful. Thank you!2

what an inspiration. my dad has been gone for 20 years now and died young at 48. I'll be 45 in February and plan to be around for my children and grand-babies (someday). Also my BFF is diabetic and I have watched her struggle and we fight together. But looking for ways to be more accountable. Have cut back in my pop and lost 25 but need more motivation. Thanks everyone for all your stories for positive energy.1
