Beachbody for beginners

I have had 2 abdominal surgeries in the past 18 months. I need a gentle return to exercise. I am looking at either Slim in 6 or 21 Day Fix. Any feedback on either of these programs?

If I recall, slim in 6 was pretty reasonable. The work outs are not that long and not overly hard. You can choose what work out you want to do and the intensity you do it at. I found I got bored a little quickly, but now that I haven't been working out again for awhile I may just go back and try them again. Good luck!0

I'm doing one of there newer programs it's called country heat. It's very low impact. Try it out!0

I did Slim in 6 and Power 90, as well as Power Half Hour. They are all easily modifiable depending on how difficult you find them. They do get a bit samey if you're just sticking to one for a period.0

I am doing 21 Day Fix and I think all the weight lifting might be a little much unless you used very light weights. Otherwise I think it would be fine.0

I've never done slim in 6, but it sounds like it is gentle and effective. Having done 21 day fix (loved it and my results) I think you'd like it, but I'd recommend following the modifier for any moves that hurt or engage your abdominals until you've built the muscle strength to where you're comfortable and able to safely complete the exercises.
I'd also suggest taking a look at P90. My dad did it (he was extremely overweight and had never worked out) and got amazing results. It builds on itself, and while each progressive phase gets harder, the trainer does a fantastic job of building the muscles and strength needed as you move through the phases to allow you to successfully complete each new workout.
Good luck with whatever you choose!0 -
i'd ask a physiotherapist too. or some kind of post-surgery rehab specialist.1
