Baked Cinnamon Apple Chips

Baked Cinnamon Apple Chips

Ingredients

2 small apples, Red Delicious or Gala (sliced paper thin)
1 T. Sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon (or more to taste)

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Core apples leaving peel on.
Slice whole apples into paper thin rings (I use a mandolin)
Line two baking sheets with parchment paper (not wax paper).
Place apple slices in a single layer on paper; sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.

Bake until lightly browned, about 2 hours.
Cool on wire rack and serve.
Store in a ziptop bag.
Enjoy!:heart:

    Ah, yummy!!! One of my favourite snacks is a chopped up apple with a bit of cinnamon and sugar! This sounds great. :love:

    I would say go with the parchment paper if you can't find it at a regular grocery store, try a craft store like Michaels Crafts.

    Being very thinly sliced and using the sugar on them will more than likely make them quite difficult if not impossible to remove from the cookie sheets if parchment paper isn't used.

    Sounds really delicious!

    Serving size for the entire recipe is 4 Servings which would basically equal out to be 1/2 an apple. Depending on how thinly sliced you make them will determine how many apple rings per serving you'll end up with.:flowerforyou:

    Made these tonight after you posted this recipe FC! They are sooo good, I just tried a piece.
    I am packing them up and taking them as a snack when I need a bite at work for this week.
