Progress clarification? Please be honest

I just wanted to know does it look like I'm showing any facial progress.. I've been told by a couple people that I'm losing weight but I don't think I look any different.. I'm down 27lbs since the beginning of October from 307 so I'm 280 now.. maybe it's one of those *kitten* feeling days lol

You're down 27 lbs. You ARE losing weight. Accept the positive feedback of others. Our own perceptions in the mirror are rarely accurate.2

There's definite progress. Keep up the great work!!1

You have clearly lost weight ... Your chin is more defined, around your eyes by your cheekbones, your neck doesn't look as stalky, there's more definition around your nose ... So, yes you have definitely made progress with your efforts.
Keep on keeping on!! Kudos!2 -
You can totally tell you have lost weight, your face is markedly slimmer. Your daughter is a cutie!2

Yes, there is definitely a difference. There will be times along your journey that the progress is difficult for you to see. I have had the same issue as I suspect nearly all of us have. There will come a day when you look in the mirror and ask yourself "do I really look much different?" and then you will look at an old picture and realize that yes, you really do.3

Thank u so much and thanks again for the compliment to my daughter.. She is almost 3 will be 3 on Christmas Eve as a matter of fact. Love her with all my heart but can be a handful lol2 -
i find it hard to tell from a still photo, especially when the expressions/positions/angles are different. and i think people who see your face in actual everyday use probably see a lot more than we do from a single angle.
but even so, what i noticed was: in the first picture it's kind of like you're trying to give your features a bit of a lift. everything's kind of 'up' like a facial version of 'suck in your gut'.
in the second one you're not even trying to 'fix' anything. that's probably about as loose as your face ever gets, and it looks at least as good as the first one where i intuit you were trying to game the angles just a little bit. so nice going.
also: cute kid. i like the way you and she have exactly the same upper lip.0 -

There is a definite progress in all the right places. I started around your weight (possibly higher) and it took a good while to see progress, because the fatter you are the harder it is to tell since the body gets smaller in the same shape first before starting to change shape. You also appear to have lost what I call "disappearing eyes" where fat in the cheeks makes eyes look smaller. That's how I could tell the weight I lost made a visible difference when I couldn't see a difference in my body. That, and the jawline. You are doing great, and your daughter is absolutely adorable!1

yup. you're not 'trying' in that one either go check your eyebrows in the first one. and check how you're not smiling in the first one, to avoid the whole puffy-cheeks thing.
my point was that yes, i do see progress. but i see it mostly in the sense that you look the same now when you're not trying as all, as you had to put in some effort to try look when you started out. if that makes sense.1
