For anyone doing or who had done the 30 day shred...what weight of dumbells do you use?

It varies by which which level I am doing and which move in each level I am doing. I use a range of 3-10 lbs. I use 5's most of the time but go higher or lower depending on the move.

The heaviest weight you can use while maintaining good form. Try light weights 3 - 5 pounds as you start. If it's too easy, bump it up.

I started with 2.4lb and I am ready to move up. They mostly only sell eithet 4.4lb or 6.6lb. I am not sure which to go for. I am worried the 4.4 is too light and 6.6 too heavy.

This might sound weird, but can you fill a couple small milk jugs with water (or sand) to equal 4 or 5 pounds? Test the waters a bit using these. This would be cheaper than buying a set of weights you will grow out of rather quickly.

I have 3 pound dumbbells (somewhere) they were a total waste of money because I used them for such a short period of time.

if you go to walmart or somewhere like that they have 2lb,5lb,8 or 10lb. amazon has them too. go up to a 5. you can find them, most have a plastic light coating but last a long time.you dont have to worry about weird weights like that. or if you can afford it adjustable dumbbells

I use my heaviest which are only 3kg (6.6lb) and too light for most of the moves. Trouble is compact, heavier dumbells are just too darned expensive.

I'm doing ripped in 30 and did most of the moves with 8lbs. I did one move with 12 and another with 5. For me it just totally depends on the move.
