Hi all! Okay, so I'm not good at this. I'm on a 1400 calorie diet and my BMR is 1916. About how much exercise will I have to get in order to lose about 2 pounds a week? I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER IF YOU ANSWER THIS! I keep getting conflicting answers.
Also, I'm brand new to this whole thing so if you want to, I'd appreciate any adds. I could use some more friends and motivation. THANKS!! Oh, and I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome too, and I think that makes it harder for me to lose weight.
Oh, and what kind of exercise would be best for me? I'm kind of forced to be a couch potato for my job most of the time.

I will seriously tattoo your name on my chest if you answer this. Well maybe not that, but I'd be very very grateful. :laugh:0

To lose 1 pound, you need a calorie deficit of 3500. To lose 2 pounds a week, you'd need a calorie deficit of 1000 calories a day. However, your net calories (Total calories eaten- calories burned through exercise) should never go below 1200. Your body needs those 1200 calories to support basic bodily functions.
As for exercise, you should incorporate a type of cardio... Anything that you think you'll do consistently will work. You'll also want to do some sort of strength/resistance training.0 -
MFP has you at 500 cals for food deficiency you need to burn 500 calories working out...to equal 1000/day....7000/week which is 2 pounds0

If your body naturally burns 1900 a day, and you are eating 1400/day, then you are already at a 500 calorie deficit, which will allow you to lose 1 lb/ week. To lose 2 lb/week, you'll need to work out to burn an additional 500 calories per day.
Try a mix of cardio and weights, that's what I like best. As you build muscle, it will help you burn more fat even while resting. Good luck, and feel free to add me if you like0 -
Thanks so much everyone.0
