Young, working out but not seeing the results I'd like

I'm a female and 5'0" tall. I just turned 18 years old. My current weight (95-96 pounds) is on the lower end of the healthy BMI range for my height. I workout almost everyday with one rest day a week. I do a version of ab ripper p90x and some strength training for my arms/legs in the morning. I've been doing this for about 6-8 months. For the most part I eat healthy and have about 1,800-1,900 calories a day which allows me to maintain my weight. I'm not gaining abs or much leg definition but my arms are growing a bit. Is there anything I could possibly do to see more muscle definition, especially in my stomach? Thanks!

Muscle definition is caused by lowering your bodyfat so you need to decide if you want to build muscle or lose some fat to show existing muscle?0

You'd need to eat above maintenance to add muscle. Maybe you should take a look at some of the bulk/cut information in the exercise forum?1

Are you working your upper and lower body everyday? You really should incorporate rest days in-between. You don't have to be inactive. You could do a little cardio instead.0

It sounds like you would benefit from a full body resistance program. That could mean lifting weights or bodyweight work or a combo. Do you have access to a gym or any equipment at home?0

You are eating at maintenance so you will not build much muscle or lose much fat. Also your training is not efficient and you would probably benefit from a progressive full body routine (with weights if possible).0

Up the calories and up the protein intake1

More protein.
How many grams do you get a day currently?0 -
