What did you eat for dinner and did you have a lot of sodium yesterday?
Are you ovulating? Is your TOM coming?

What was your weight the morning before the 166.4?

Avoid weighing daily. The scale can fluctuate (as you have found) depending on diet, time of day/month, bowel/urination function, clothing, etc. Take pictures. As far as the current dilemma you didn't gain fat overnight. This is most likely fluid.

It doesnt have to be avoided unless the normal fluctuations are taken to heart as a lack of progress. :)

Like others said. Either fluid or a scale error.

True, but most people (OP included) become "frustrated" or give up when they see daily fluctuations that aren't always progressing in a downward fashion.
