How to stay motivated...??

Hey! I'm new to this app but figured it would be a good thing to try. I find that I have always been one of those people who will make all of these great plans on how to lose weight and get in better shape but can never seem to stick with it. I will do good for a few weeks and then somehow always manage to lose sight of my goals.. I want to be able to honestly say one day that i am a "doer" and be proud of my physical accomplishments.. So any good advice for me on how to stay motivated??

Motivation is an emotion...nobody is motivated all of the time...you have to take the emotion out of it and just do. We all do things every single day for which we aren't necessarily motivated...I'm never particularly motivated to mow the lawn or do the dishes or clean the bathroom or vacuum the house, but I do these things because they need doing otherwise my house would be unlivable...my body is my house...gotta take care of the house.
You might want to start with smaller changes rather than trying to fully do a 180* overnight which is what most people try to do...they get super restrictive with their diets and start doing ridiculous amounts of exercise and they simply burn out..that's not how it's done.8 -
