Seltzer Water?

I know the carbonation is bad, but I LOVE drinking seltzer. I have a SodaStream and make my own at home. I'm wondering if I should count this as water (I've been counting it as half in the past)? Without flavoring? With sugar-free flavoring?

i guess im missing something - water is water, bubbles or not. and it was my understanding that seltzer water was just regular water... with bubbles. no sodium or anything.

why would the bubbles have an effect on how much water you're consuming?

After reading your question I decided to Google it.
I no longer drink pop but I occasionally drink carbonated water. Here's what I found"

The basic difference and negative effect is that carbonated beverages do not flush toxins out of our system like fresh water. Also the carbonation changes the pH and causes Calcium to leach out of our bones

I think that talked me out of it.

I've been told that carbonation can be a problem, but if I'm only drink 2-3 liters a week I don't see that being a problem.

It still seems better than cola to me.
