Feeling good in your own skin. (picture post)
This is something that I know a lot of us struggle with. Heck. i struggle with it all the time. It is hard to always feel comfortable in your skin and to love your imperfections. Especially since we are in a world where we have this idea of what "perfect" is in terms of how we should look. I don't know how many responses I will get to this.. But I posted a picture of myself that I like just to show that "hey i may not be perfect but im slowly learning to love myself" some see selflove as being conceited when i think it is perfectly okay to try and like what you see in the mirror.. Cause im sure trying. So feel free to share pictures that make you feel handsome, cute, pretty, confident or anything that just makes you feel good about yourself. I believe that once you can open your own eyes to the beauty within your "flaws" then that makes loving yourself so much easier. Plus think of it this way.. It also makes it easier to accept the good that others try to say about you too which boosts your confidence. Maybe I am crazy but hey. I think everyone is perfectly imperfect

I am not the most confident guy and I know my shortcomings, but I have never been super shy about my body or such. Somewhat of a naturalist in many ways. No pics there though lol.1

First day climbing. Holy crap, it was a great day!
Before I started, I thought the hardest thing about rock climbing was going to be physical. Like how lifting heavy weights is hard. How wrong I was! The hardest part is being 80 feet off the ground, looking down, and getting a rush of fright. That ancient monkey part of your brain reacts and sends a chill down your spine. Then you have to remember that you're safe on a rope, and keep going up. That's the hard part.

You probably get a lot of complements, and we here can all see why you would, I would never think you would have these kind of self image problems, your working on. I am one of those that have avoided the selfy theads exactly for these same reasons. You are inspiring for starting this thread, and Im almost convinced to post one my self, however, I think I need more time to think this over.1 -

Selfie with Mt Everest. You can just see her in the background.
I like this photo because I traveled to Tibet solo and I saw one of the greatest natural monuments on the planet...and I never thought I would.

I normally don't get too horribly caught up in the selfie threads, but I like the idea of over coming insecurities. My biggest hang up is my arms. I would do upper body lifting weights if I could, but alas, my legs can't miss out. But when I took this picture last week, I was beyond excited to see progress.
..and yes, I do collect Pokemon plush.

Seeing the essence of me emerging from the unhealthy outside of me....it is the best NSV every single day. Every day. so I am going to be barfy and attach two ME pictures. The sweaty one is a day recently when I got my leg press to 170 pounds and the other one is I had just finished a 24 mile walk that I took just because I can. Life. does. not. get. better. than. this!
