Gallstones

Hey, so I've got my surgery date sorted for Gallbladder removal. Has anyone else had/has gallstones? I went abit drastic with the weightloss fast and went way too drastic with my diet. All I can eat is baby food. It's yummy though! Sick of the stomach pains though I've been really ill with this. Can't eat hardly anything and stomach pains a lot even if I drink water. The tablets help though. The doctor gave me Ranitidine. Luckily I'm getting this sorted quickly! Anyone else suffering with this? Also the attacks are the worst thing I've ever experienced had to call an ambulance last time.
Be great to hear from if you are going through this too

I had my gallbladder out three years ago. After the surgery, I felt so much better! The only downside is that I have to be really careful to limit fat intake - otherwise I'll have really bad GI distress. Good luck with your surgery! I hope it goes smoothly.1

Had my gallbladder out many years ago. I was young so it took forever for the Dr to do testing to see if it was my gallbladder. I was a freshman in highschool and lived off broth because I would get attacks with pretty much anything I ate! Glad your getting things taken care of. Hope you have a speedy recovery!1

Did the HMR fasting diet in the 90's. 500 calories a day for nine months. Lost a hell of a lot of weight, 285lbs, but I also lost my gallbladder. Hope your attacks are over, I still recall sitting on the floor of the shower with a bottle of jack, praying for the pain to stop. Quick weight loss and fasting is a quick shortcut gallbladder removal. Good Luck with your surgery, recovery is usually quick.1

I lost 50 lbs. in about 5 months. Had a pancreatic attack and thought I was going to die!! Was in the hospital for 3 days on IV to get my pancreas healed. They removed my gallbladder and it had 22 stones. The doctor said that is why I had pancreatitis . I actually never had any bad pain with my stomach before the pancreas attack thought. Good luck with your surgery. The quicker the better. Don't let it turn into pancreatitis.1
