Quick question: which is worse for weight loss - refined flour (white bread, pretzels, etc) or chocolate?

Also - which is the better carb for weight loss: breads (whole wheat, whole grain) or potatoes?

    As long as it's in moderation it's not that bad but whole grain is better than whole wheat and bother are much better than refined, dark chocolate is healthy in moderation.

    Not all chocolates were created evil ;-) Dark Chocolate is not bad at all.

    Whole grain breads and pastas are great in moderation, as are sweet potatoes. Stay away from white refined foods as much as you can, and by all means, enjoy some dark chocolate once in a while! My kids make fun of me because all the food I buy is brown. ;) Except the fruits and veggies of course! :laugh:

    The question is meaningless because it's not as black and white as you think; neither are "better" or "worse", it depends on quantitiy and frequency of consumption.

    1 oz of butter eaten once a month is "better" for you than 8oz of sweet potatoes cooked in 1/4 oz olive oil, eaten every day.
