Just started getting into trail running and would love to friend some fellow trail runners!

Here's a video of a race I finished this Tuesday if anyone is interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBRuOBCN27Q

Friend me or reply and I'll friend you! I found some trails by my house and would love to learn more about this particular kind of running.

Trail running is the only form of running that interests me. I may, some day, get into it, if I choose not to get back into mountain biking.

I enjoy OCR races. I usually do some trail runs to get ready for them. Trail runs are a lot more fun (and cooler) than road running.
    Awesome job on the 10k!

I live on top of a mountain so trail running is the most convenient workout for me. When I first started running it was on a track, but now that I've done trail running I don't wanna go back. It's an adventure everytime!

Why would anyone want to run on the Road? Around 95% of my running is on the trails the other 10% is getting to the trails

Love the OCRs and off road tris. Just wish I lived in a more mountainous area. Really miss those mtn trails.

I agree! So much more to see on trails. Just more fun and interesting in general. :)

I do about 60-70% of my training runs on trails, but I do road races and tris in addition to trail races. Hoping to do a trail marathon next spring, possibly a 50k.
I love it being on trails, it's so much easier on my brain, lol.

50 is one hell of a marathon! Doesn't that count as ultra-marathon territory?

Sure does. Scares the bajeezus out of me, which is why I want to try it.

OP that film was lovely. That looks like a nice place to run. I am new to running and run a trail along the Back Bay once a week--I'll be digging out my GoPro for the next run!

50K is definitely an ultra! I would love to try one someday.

Lol, definitely in it for the running but playing with multimedia is another hobby of mine so why not combine them? :)

OCR addict here. Love me some trails. The more technical the better! Add in some heavy objects to carry and I get all excited and stuff.

Trail running is my favorite. Also love obstacle course races (OCR). Working out is great; putting the results into action with a sport is amazing. We are building that strength & endurance so it's great to use it.

I'm just getting started on trail running. So far I've been all road races. I registered for a trail half marathon in September that is moderate to advanced on advertised difficulty so I'm starting to incorporate trails now to get built up for that. Just got new trail shoes yesterday!

I have gone backpacking before. I have gone on 60+ miles during a backpacking trip, but I never ran on triails. I just started trail running these past couple months. I love it! I love the scenery of the trail that's why I backpack, but now I can tr

I'm running my first 10K trail race tomorrow! I like to run trails because I have some good ones where my dog can run unleashed by my side. It's also, like others have said, WAY less boring. I can run forever with no music or anything. Cannot do that on the road. Pavement bothers my joints too.

My 10K trail time is somewhere around an hour and ten minutes, which I realize is slow, but I'm not a young lady, so I'm proud of myself.

I'm new to trail running as well - made a goal last month to eventually do a 50K trail run. And my longest race thus far has been a 5K (I've done 4 of them, 1 of which was on a trail and 1 of which was on a golf course at night in the rain... so not terribly different than on trails perhaps).

Thanks for sharing @BCRun2Race ! Looks like a great run!!

I love trail running, however, I can only get one or two in a week. I am not comfortable running the trails in the dark by myself. During the week it is a road run at 5am. The last time I ran on the trail my earbuds died halfway through and I found out how peaceful it was. All I could hear was my breathe, the leaves under my feet, the river and the birds.

@CindyFooWho there is nothing wrong with an hour and 10 minutes. My last 10km trail run was 1 hour and 3 minutes!! Good Luck with your trail run tomorrow...I am guessing you're gonna beat your best time!!
