Irritated colon - need food advice

I've been sick for a few days. But I'm at a loss as to what to eat. Any solid food makes my stomach hurt. But liquids don't satisfy me at all. I drank 4 servings ensure (made with milk) last night and woke up in the middle of the night STARVING.

It's the weirdest sensation - I'm bloated, in pain, and extremely hungry at the same time (stomach hunger, it makes me nauseous), yet I have no appetite.

I've been to the doctor yesterday, got some meds. But they don't work for very long to keep me comfortable, maybe about 2 hours, and he also didn't make suggestions as to what to eat.

I guess I'm asking, what can I eat that won't aggravate my irritated colon, and takes little digestion, but will actually fill me up because this hunger is as much torture as the cramps! Any suggestions or ideas are welcome because I honestly couldn't care less about calories right now.

The best things for it if it's an impact ion or constipation is rest it, eat broths, gelatin, pudding. Avoid spices. Eat bland foods. Avoid hard to digest meats like red meats. Eat oat meal ( fillingbut bland) possibly finely ground depending on your g I issues. I don't know what you have or I could help more with what you should eat. I have ibs c, my mom had diverticulitis, barrettes esophagus, and gastroparesis. So I know quite a bit. Shoot me a message if u like.

You should call your doctor and ask about foods to eat/ avoid. In the meanwhile, stick to wholesome, simple foods. Nothing fried or spicy. My brother has colitis and some of his main foods are oatmeal, applesauce, avocado, eggs, plain yogurt. It might be good to eat many small meals throughout the day, rather than 3 big ones. Also, be sure to drink a lot of water. Hope you feel better soon.
