    Log everything you eat and drink
    Weigh your food with a digital scale and avoid using cups/spoons

    Tips that keep me full on 1250 calories:

    Carb, protein, fat at every meal.
    Drink lots of water
    Get 7-8 hrs of sleep at night to keep stress hormone in check otherwise you will be hungrier the next day.

    Figure out if you need to restrict certain foods or just moderate. Some restrict and do fine others restrict and end up binging. If you can moderate then work in some foods you love into your calorie goal.

    You can "bank" calories. If you have a social event you can take 50/100 calories over a few days and add them to a day to be able to eat a little more that day and still lose weight. As long as you stay in a weekly deficit you are good.

    Get rid of just about everything you think you know and read these threads. There are a lot of diet myths out there that are continually spread. There are some really smart folks here that can break it down for you.
