Can't get back on track

It's been two years now that I've stop smoking and I put on 27 pounds and I can't get out of this rut that I'm in and get back into shape. Please help!!

    I agree with @johunt61--it's all about changing your mindset.

    If you can quit smoking (congratulations on that!), then you have the ability to identify changes in your eating or exercise habits that will put you on your way to shedding those pounds.

    Go for it!

    Great job quitting smoking, you're already much healthier for having done that!

    Once you value being at a healthier weight more than you value the endorphins you get from overeating, it'll be much easier. Just like the guys above said, it's all mental and a matter of deciding what's more important to you. Best of luck!

    My cardiologist just told me this last week--THE two hardest things for people to do--quit smoking and lose weight. You've proved you've got what it takes to quit smoking, so you CAN lose the weight. But as the others said, your head has to be in the game. Determine it and you will do it.
