Iron

I thought it would be good to show my iron content in my diet as I do get tired. Busy though so no wonder in a way!
I don't nearly meet my required iron despite eating meat every day. Its hard as if I eat more meat I will go over my protein and fat content as well.
Anyone who can look at my diary and advise let me know!
You will see I don't really cook elaborate meals, I like simple wholesome natural food so nothing too fancy as I don't have time!

Hi fionarama, funny that you mentioned that just this morning I was kind of analyzing my iron and I'm always under so I just started looking through the kitchen and reading the food labels, I've decided to start each day ( or most anyways ) with a bowl of some form of a cereal with milk (this morning I had a bowl of 2 cups of special K and 1 cup of milk) filled me up pretty much and I believe I got nearly 100% of iron with just the cereal alone, hopefully that helps...0

You don't necessarily have to eat more meat, there are other food like green leafy veggies that can pack in a bit of iron too (remember Popeye and his spinach!).
And vitamin C helps iron absorbtion. You will find stacks of info on this online, here's one article as a starting point:
