I am sure this has been asked but I cannot find any recent posts here. Are you required to eat back exercise calories? My diary auto-deducts exercise claores so it now looks like I am 350 calories below daily intake.. Would appreciate any advice, or references.

Yes, MFP is designed for you to eat back the calories. Many people just eat back half or so due to inflated counts in the database.

I used MFP before and ate back calories I got according to my polar...and did not lose weight.

I now do not log in any exercise at all and eat my recommended amount and I lose about 2lbs a week.

    That's just my experience.

I turned off the exercise as eating back the exercise caused me to stall weight loss. It overestimates the amount of calories I burned.

I generally don't eat them back in any appreciable amount. FitBit and MFP's burns are always way over for me. I let it sync and log here though, still aim for my original target, but don't worry if I drift over a bit on highly active days.
