I've needed to get in shape for a lo-o-o-ng time but just kept telling myself everyday that I'd start tomorrow. Well, about two weeks ago I was diagnosed with fatty liver. I don't drink, I'm not diabetic, and I generally try not to destroy my liver since having hepatitis, so I didn't understand why I would have this. The more I read the more I realized I need to change my diet and lose wight. Definetely, time to stop putting it off.

I dusted off my FitBit (an impulse purchase when I had about a week of motivation a year ago, lol) and reinstalled the myfitness app on my phone. By using the app for a week and eating as I always had, I learned that I am a sugar addict! I never knew how much sugar is in our food, or that sugar is in almost everything we eat.

Since Monday I have been following diet recommendations and walking quite a bit. I need to get serious, and I know I am in need support. My liver is very unhappy, my spleen is enlarged, and I am nauseous almost 24/7. This has to stop :/

Welcome!, you can do it. Take one day at a time and log everything that you eat, start cutting portions add some exercise, that is a good way to start

You can make excuses or you can make progress. Sounds like you're on the right track!

Nobody can do it but you and you have the power. What do you want your future to look like?

Give yourself some tough love and get busy! <3

It's not just drinkers that get liver disease. You can do this for sure. Good luck
