Hi everyone I'm new to this web site. I'm 47 years old and I'm from Ocean City Maryland. I have been over weight most of my adult life. I have one daughter(23 years old) and we are raising a three year old little girl because my daughter's friend decided that she didn't want to be her Mom anymore. I really want to get healthy for them but also for myself. I really don't love myself and I'm really,really trying to change that.

    Welcome to MFP! You will love it here! Good for you for raising that little girl as your own. Sorry to hear her mom didn't want her. That is just awful! Good luck to you!!

    :flowerforyou: Welcome to MFP! The tools are here to lose weight, and you'll find plenty of support along the way. So glad to here you're raising that little girl. I couldn't have children and my husband was too afraid to adopt for fear the person would change their mind. So when I hear of people just giving theirs up...Some people just don't understand a blessing when they have one.
