I'm planning on doing a whole lot of exercise in the next few months. Can anyone give me any tips on ways to keep momentum and motivation up as it's a years contract at the gym and I don't want to waste my money on something that I don't use. The gym is really good as I get full use of swimming pool, fitness classes and gym! But i need help and advice on keeping my motivation.

P.s

Will i still lose weight? So far i've gone from 12stone6 to 11stone WITHOUT exercise...

THANKS ALL :)

An MP3 player with a good (fun, steady beat, something you like, omething with high energy at a medium to fast rhythem) playlist are the MOST esential gymn companion. If you're listening to something that makes you feel like moving, you'll find yourself getting less tired and more motivated to do it for longer.

You WILL still loose weight to a point, and then you will only loose inches, but I'm talking 9stone here before you stop loosing weight almost entirely (from my experiance).

For me, once I started doing it and it made me feel so good, I became addicted!! Find something that you really love and challenge yourself to continue to improve at it. Like running, each day I challenge myself to go a little farther and a little faster. I think the key is finding what you love to do!!

Get a free weight room orientation from your gym. It may be worth purchasing 1 session with a trainer so that they can show you correct form, breathing and even a schedule of how to exercise effectively.

dont over do it. i found giving myself a 45 mins max stay meant i still wanted more by the tiime i left for gym for the day and looking forward to going the next! and made me use my time more efficiently (my friend would go for an hour and spend 20 mins walking hating it), whereas i went to sweat :)

and if you hate one bit of going, just dont do it. find what you like doing so you'll stick to it

    And enjoy!
