Calorie intake on hard workout days

Hello there! I wonder if there is any nutritionist/weight loss expert out there who can help me see whether I need to adjust my calories for the days I exercise a lot. I do spinning for hard workouts and I supposedly burn a good 400-500 kcal each time. I have a feeling that the given 1,200 kcal daily intake is quite skimpy then? I do have an aggressive weight loss goal in mind for the next two months (I cannot possibly make an objective where I have to diet for much longer...). MyFitnessPal just adds the burned calories to the daily intake, but knowing that it takes 7,000 kcal deficit to burn a pound of fat....? I'd love any thoughts!

MFP is designed for you to eat back your exercise calories. Many people find that the estimated burns in the database are inflated though, and so recommend eating back between 50-75% of the calories MFP gives you when you log exercise.

I'd start by eating back half of your exercise calories and see what happens and how you feel.

Just to address your last sentence.. It takes a 3500 calorie deficit to lose 1lb a week, or 500 calories a day less than your TDEE. Are you getting kgs and lbs mixed up maybe?

I love my heart rate monitor. I eat a 1.2k cal diet. I only eat back calories for workouts I track with my HRM. I started 60 days ago and lost 12lbs. So I am usually eating more around 1500 cals per day.

If you are using mfp for your goal you should be eating back at least a portion of your exercise calories. And a 7000 calorie deficit would be to lose 2 pounds.
