Starting C25K(Couch to 5k) Today!!

So I'm tired of sitting on my BUTT! It's time for me to get running... I used to run Cross Country when I was in High School but times have changed and I can barely run for 5 minutes straight anymore. My knees aren't the best from dancing but I'm gonna give it a go! I want to be Running Diva by my 30th Bday in 4 months. So if anyone wants to join/is already doing it I could sure use your advice and support.

They have the Application on IPhones & Androids so download it and stick with Day1's interval and progress each day. We can all do it together and help each other stay on track! We can do this!!!!!0 -
Im on week 3 and have the 'Get Running' app, think it was £1.50. I did download a free one but it keep 'forgetting' to tell me when to run and walk!!! (or I couldnt hear it). The get running one is fab.
I was 30 in May and want to be fitter than I was in my 20's, if I dont do it now when will I?

Thats fantastic Helen! Good for you! I can't wait to be there with ya! I Downloaded the RunDouble App and it has the timer so I'll test it out today. I can't wait to trim down in Pounds. Im also doing thr shred but im staking muscle and need to trim downmore. Dont get my wrong I LOVE THE SHRED....totally committed but need this. Have a great day and ttyl. Tina0 -

im on week one day 3 today. ive been doing it 3x a week in combination with 30DS. I have never been a runner but i would love to be able to run 3miles easily come fall when i start clinicals so that i can get a nice workout in in a decent amount of time since i'll be so busy. I can already tell that i have more endurance.0

I've just finished week 5 day 1, today! You'll be amazed how far you can go in such a short space of time :bigsmile: I have downloaded the get running app on my iPhone and it keeps me on track. Good luck to you all!!0

I started a week ago and have week 2 day 1 tomorrow. I was knackered after the last one, so not sure how tomorrow will go!
I have a Window 7 phone and there is a C25K app on there I use. It handily tells you when you are halfway, so you can turn around and end up where you started at the end of the programme :-)0 -
I started and quit a few times, but now I'm on it again with my husband, and we are here to finish this time! We're doing week 1 for 5 days instead of 3 to really help kick-start our endurance. I found the other times, I was so exhausted doing week 2, I really couldn't breathe, and I just gave up. Now we've done 4 days out of the 5, and I really think it's helping...I knocked 4 minutes off of my time and could push myself a bit further without dying. On Monday, we'll start week 2. We even signed up for the Disney Halloween 5K on October 1st as a goal. I have the 30DS too, and plan to start implementing that on days I don't run.
Oh, and I use a C25K app on my iphone and it is awesome! It tells you start, stop, halfway done, even changes color between run and walk, plus you can publish to facebook and twitter each achievement day.0 -
Good luck. It is an awesome app. I am in Week 3, Day 2 myself. I use a podcast on my ipod and love it.0
