I've exercised 3 times this week so far, didn't eat back half of my exercise calories back , only to be rewarded with gaining back almost a pound. So someone please explain to me what is the f********* point if your body is going to insist on rebelling against you anyway? Losing 2.2 lbs only to gain one back may not seem like such a big deal, because peoples' weight fluctuates, but when you feel like you're doing everything right and don't know what you're doing wrong, it can be oh so infuriating. Also, if those 2lbs. can mean the difference between being 200 and finally moving into the 100's range, really makes me want to just pound my fists into the floor until that stupid, taunting, ugly, lb. disappears with it!

try eating back some of your exercise calories.. it may be that your body is not getting enough food..0

are you drinking enough water..
sounds strange, but by drinking water- you lose water weight. sometimes if im up a little, i drink extra water and see the difference the next day. goodluck to you0 -
I am thinking you probably need to eat back some of the calories lost in exercise. Especially if your burning alot of calories. Your body may need more fuel :-) Just like gas...you burn it out and you have to buy more!0

how much food are you eating a day? have you adjusted your goals since dropping 19lbs?0

in regards to eating back exercise calories, I've heard back various things. I've heard that eating after you exercise is actually counterproductive and you will not lose the weight. This was coming from a personal trainer who I went to for 2 sessions. It was too intense. I couldn't handle it. I woke sore everywhere and was in pain whenever I moved for like 3 days. I also couldn't keep myself from not eating afterward. I don't know what the right answer is anymore. I eat, I don't eat, my body just decides to say: **** you. I want to be fat. I'm going to do what I want , no matter what you do!0

@chantalGG - I have adjusted my goals, but up until today I have been keeping it at 1420 to lose 1.5lbs a week, instead of the 1400 it's supposed to be. I might put it back to 1420. I don't know if I can handle the 20 less calories. I don't usually exercise 4 times a week. When I am exercising however, I usually eat about 1000-1100 of my calories so I have 300-400 + my exercise calories which are usually 582 from doing zumba or 280 from doing belly dance. I try to finish off my calories for the day and eat back about 200 of my exercise calories.0

I agree with the others. You may need to take in a few more calories. If you take in too few cals your body goes into starvation mode and will store EVERYTHING you take in...which will make you gain weight. You have to take in enough to keep your metabolism up enough to burn fat.0
