How do you know if your hitting your calories. Now the fitness pal says 2230 calories to eat, but I only consume 1500 to 1800 a day. My Fitbit says I burned with workout 2500 - 3500 so I wonder am I burning more than I'm eating. It's difficult to pinpoint and a little overwhelming. What is your opinions on this. Thanks

If you are burning 2500-3500 and you're only eating 1500 to 1800 then yes. 1500 - 1800 is less than 2500-3500. So you are burning more than you're eating. If MFP tells you to eat 2230 then as long as you filled out your profile correctly that is the amount you should eat. 2230 is still less than 2500 or more.1

I would pick one source to follow and use other for infotmation only .. it's all different for so many reasons ..we all work toward our goals and adjust as needed .. it takes time .. I would say 2-3 months to really dial it all in good ..
Good luck1 -
If you look at Fitbit.com and average the past three months, you'll have a good idea what the TDEE is and can cut from there.
Don't reduce intake too deeply though.1 -
I listen to MFP! I've always been told that your calories burned should be higher than what you ate, therefore your
suppose to lose more weight. Linda!1 -

Yeah I think I filled it out right I put light active because I work out 5 days a week doing intervals and I spend most of the day on my feet housewife stuff. I just think that's a lot of calories to consume but I'm plateaued right now so I guess it won't hurt to try. Thanks0 -
The only way to know is by knowing your weight change on average the past few weeks at your current calorie intake and how much the goal is for your weight change or maintenance.
If you ate losing/gaining too fast, then adjust your calories.2 -
