I'm in a discussion with a fellow myfitnesspal member if her drinking of tea would count for drinking water. I greatly disagree and she thinks that it does.

Is there caffeine in it? calories? If yes then the answer is no not the same.....0

"I was told in my nutrition class that anything that is carbonated or has caffeine in it cannot be counted as water because it doesnt hydrate the body like water does."0 -
What if it is decaffinated tea?0

Herbal, non-caffeinated, without additives of any kind, no sugar, honey, milk or cream...yep, about the same.
God, I hate tea though.0
