Are your friends fit?

Because I work at a gym, I'm usually around a lot high maintenance fit people. A lot of my acquaintances are usually pretty fit.
But outside of my own family (wife and daughter), the rest of the people in my life aren't that fit save maybe a couple.
The majority of my friends do no exercise of any type that I'm aware of, nor are associated with any sports.

How about you?

Friends from the gym or Crossfit? sure, some are in better shape than others (obviously)

Friends from work? No. They are pretty pathetic.

One of my closest friend lifts weights (he eats a lot too but he's very active overall), I know a couple others who run, but that's pretty much it. I know 3-4 people of a healthy weight who maintain it with diet (maybe a few walks here in there), the others (friends or family) are pretty much overweight or obese and DGAF.

My one friend is 70ish pounds overweight (Class 3 obese). I have one acquaintance who is a regular gym-goer. 99% of the people I know aren't fit and/or don't care.

Most of my friends are fit to varying degrees. Our best "couples" friends are both trainers and they own their own gym and they are avid cyclists...the guy is actually a retired BMX pro and is one of the team USA BMX coaches and works with not only average Joes like myself, but high level (many pro) cyclists and other athletes...both are on a cycling team...

My best long time friend is pretty into yoga and does body weight stuff, though he doesn't get much cardiovascular work in. My best female friend is an avid runner and runs a few marathons annually. My sister is also an avid runner. My mom has dabbled in sprint triathlons, but she focuses more on dancing these days. My wife is an avid runner and sometimes cyclist and hits the weight room and I'm an avid cyclists and also like to lift.

Ok...I can't really think of a friend who isn't fit save for some work acquaintances.

My gym friends are varying degrees of fit, but overall more fit than average.

Non-gym friends are varying degrees of non-fit.

It's a mixed bag. Most of my friends see me as being the fit one, though my exercise routine is generally moderate. Some are runners and walkers, but most are overweight and do not exercise.

I'm very active in the Crohn's and colitis community here so most of my friends are chronically ill so no, most of my friends aren't fit. When I was active in the gym I had tons of fit friends. I am on disability but when I worked most of my co-workers weren't fit.

I have no friends that exercise or are that active. They think I am little nuts at how much of a priority I put exercise in my life. I have yet to tell anyone that I count calories. This would would put me in SEVERE OCD category with them.

I do have a sister in-law that is a half and whole marathoner, but that's it. I am the only one in my family that lifts weights.

Nobody I know is fit. Somehow my bf is still more fit than I am, he doesn't purposefully workout but his job is physically taxing so there's that. Everyone else is eating whole pizzas and sitting on the couch ( I used to be the same way). I'm the only one who actively workouts and watches calories, my man can eat w/e he wants. :/

My youngest and I are the only ones really into fitness. Almost everyone else I know is simply non-fit all the way to obese. What bugs me are the comments I get. I even made a thread about it, regarding my age and the constant stream of "You DO know you're getting older" that was/is thrown at me lol.

I love em all, but I really wish one or two would join me in this.

I'm the only person into fitness in my family/ circle of friends; my 25 yr old daughter has phases, but nothing that lasts long. It seems my 7 yr old granddaughter might decide to be into fitness with me too, but we know how kids change, I'm not holding my breath!

One. But he's in the Army on the other side of the country so I never see him.

My roommate on the other hand...100 pounds overweight, multiple serious health issues, and not a care in the world. I'm seriously afraid I'm going to come home from work one day to find him dead. I've tried to help him, but he just doesn't seem to care.

No one I know is willing to wake up a little earlier on a Saturday to go running, but everyone has time to sit down at Denny's and have a 1000 calorie breakfast before heading home for a nap and an afternoon full of TV.

I recently told a couple friends that I just signed up for a 5K in January, February and March. Their response..."Why?"
    Maybe I need new friends.

2 friends are incredibly fit. All my other friends let what comes with doing nothing and eating like you were 16 catch up with them by the time they hit 40.

Family - no one is fit. I'm the "weirdo" at the family party.

I have some fit friends, but not many. I'd say the majority of my coworkers are not fit. They think I'm a weirdo for the way I eat and work out.

    Same here!
Except for my new boss, she's a former fitness competitor and she has tons of experience and endless advice. But everyone else doesn't understand our love for it.

Although my previous work was in the Armed Forces where I had fit people all around me all the time. I also learned a lot from my time in and still maintain friendships with super fit ex-coworkers.
