Diets, gym, nutritionist, personal trainer, eating well and just keep gaining. Been thinking of this option for about a year with lots of research. Not sure what else to do.

All you have to do, is consume less calories; than you burn & you'll 1st have to lose weight, if you're under approximately 400 pounds and/or your healthy enough; before they'll approve you for surgery anyway because you're still going to have to consume less calories, than you burn; even after surgery. If you don't change how much, you choose to eat; you'll only regain the weight. This' why even weight loss surgery, isn't successful; for most people.

Make choices, that you're certain you'll be able to sustain; for the duration of your life. Diets're excessively & unnecessarily restrictive, which's why they're temporary; make lifestyle changes instead! Exercise isn't for weight loss, it's for health & to allow you to have an extra piece of cake; than you'd normally have. All a Dietitians're (not Nutritionists) able to do, is inform you of what foods're most satiated/healthy; per caloric value. You still have to make the choice of what/how much, you consume; of their recommendations!
