I honestly cannot stop thinking about food, and eating, and eating delicious food! All day long all I think about is when I can eat again, counting down the hours to when I can eat again, especially when I'm in work.

What is wrong with me, I can't go more than 20 mins without thinking about food. All I want to do all day long is eat eat eat. And I never ever seem to get full (unless I completely gorge myself). Today I gave in and ate McDonalds, I just couldn't stop thinking about it that I just had to go and get some.

Any advice/help? I don't know how I can keep doing this if I don't stop feeling like this all the time.

#1 Stop and think about if this problem is as serious as you are making it sound. If you honestly *cannot* go more than 20 minutes without thinking about food, then I would recommend seeing a therapist for strategies on how to deal with it because it could be a real problem.

#2 If you determine that it's not that serious of an issue, then you need to stop and think about what you really want. Is the desire for food taking the place of something else? If it is, go back to #1.

Or, and this is going to sound really b*tchy, are you just being overly dramatic? I have a tendency to be that way sometimes, many people do, especially when they say, 'I just CAN'T stop thinking about food! Sweet delicious food, oh how I crave thee!".

But if you honestly can't stop yourself from eating, that's a sign of a bigger issue and one that would require some professional help. There's nothing wrong with that.

There are two things that I crave like crazy . . . Salty food and CHOCOLATE! So when I crave them, I have them. The key is moderation. I have learned that I can eat pretty much whatever I want, as long as I watch quantity. Are you depriving yourself of your favorite things? Because if so, it would explain your feelings. Being healthy is not about deprivation and starvation. It's about portion control and exercise! Don't give up!!! :D

See I seem to have a bottomless pit of a stomach, I can eat 1000 calories in one sitting without feeling full. So I'm constantly hungry, I eat at regularly scheduled intervals at work, 9am,11am, 1.30 and 3ish and I eat about 150 calories each time and then I eat dinner when I get home.

Maybe I just need to eat more filling foods at these times?! But I have no idea what!!

You're thinking about food all the time because you're not eating enough. If I ate in 150 calorie intervals I'd be the same way too. My breakfast is usually around 400, and then I have a snack 3 hours later..which is usually around 200 etc. Check and see if maybe your intake is too low. That could be the problem...and make sure it's filling...lots of fiber and protein. Good luck!

Hmmm, I see your point. I definitely think that's what I'm going to have to try next. It is a bit difficult, I eat at my desk for two meals a day and I dont have any clue as to what I could pack and bring with me! From 8am to 5pm I have 600/700 calories available.

Post It notes! Wait, don't scroll down yet. Leave yourself notes everywhere that say "Do you need it? Will it set you back? You don't want it." or some variation. What else do you REALLY like? Any fandoms, movies, books, music? Obsess over those instead. Train yourself to listen to music, read fanfic, or something when those food thoughts come on hard and heavy.

Ha ha ha, I wish I could do that!! But this really only happens when I'm at work, click clacking away at my computer!!!

I do that at home, and I browse this site all night long and that manages to keep me away from food!
