I have a tough time hitting the goal. Im also still looking for best mix for me... im wanting to lose weight but i obviously want to hang on to as much muscle as possible. Thoughts on a quality number for each? I weigh 252...

Thanks all

Get a gram of protein per pound of lean mass and let the fats and carbs fall where they may. Energy balance and training play a much more significant role in body composition than macro balance does.

what is your current caloric intake? what ratio of macros are you aiming for?

i'd recommend running your stats through a TDEE calculator to get an idea of what you need and then set a goal caloric intake under that

the TDEE calculator I use also gives recommended macros depending on low/moderate/high carb ratios

ususally eat - are you weighing your food? or just eye-balling it>

if you open up your food diary, other more saavy MFPer's can give advice
