    NY Strip Steak
    Dungeness Crab
    Eggs
    Bacon
    Boudin Sourdough Bread
    Foie Gras
    Truffles (the fungus not chocolate)
    Oestra Cavier (can't afford Beluga)
    Dark Chocolate

These are foods that I'd never get tired of eating but (with the exception of NY steaks & eggs) are foods that I seldom eat any more for cost and/or dietary reasons.

Fresh, hot off the grill flatbread buttered with either buffalo or freshly churned summer pasture Jersey cattle butter, stuffed with pecorino romano, bresaola, fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, and fresh arugula. I think if I had to eat one thing for the rest of my life, this would be well in the running.

For dessert, Costco bakery cookies with milk or vanilla bean ice cream non-stop.

in literal dead seriousness? rowntree's fruit gums. i can picture getting to a temporary 'not right now' point with them. and i can picture living without them because living in canada means that i do. but ever reaching a point where i'm just indifferent to them . . . ain't gonna happen. i have some kind of receptor gene for whatever it is in those things.

    biltong.

    but close runner up list:

watermelon, cherries, passionfruit. cocktail onions. the really ferocious kind of caesar salad.

also, that 1950's thing where you do the cornflakes/parmesan/oregano 'breading' for pork loin and then go MAD with the fresh lemon juice.

this thread is just an excuse to talk about food, for me. i should go cook some instead of sitting here daydreaming.
