What did you enjoy when you were working out before?
I would just do that, probably at a lighter intensity at first (so your body can get back into it).4 -

Thankyou. I did about 15 minutes of cardio... hope that helps me get back into it1 -
Everybody starts out feeling like kitten. Just start somewhere. Anywhere. You say you're doing 15 minutes of cardio. Perfect! In two weeks, bump that to 20 or 30 minutes. Or add some weights. Soon, you'll be feeling less kitten than ever.1

In my opinion, give yourself some time to build exercises back to your routine. Once you have regained that as part of your habits, you will be more confident and keep going.0

start with small steps.
I did a squat challenge (boy was I sore at first), then moved to walking a bit, then 30 Day shred...(yes I was sore and I almost cried day 12...2nd round....lol) now I lift weights (heavy ones) I run, I walk, I bike...I do whatever I feel llike...because after taking small steps I can....
PS the Squat challenge was in May 2013...30 Day shred was in June 2013 as well...I started lifting in Sept 2013...2 -
I started back into things just walking...now I can go out for a 50 mile ride just because it's Saturday and it's nice out and I have some time to kill....0

I missed how I felt doing Insanity but when I first started working out again I needed to ease into it. I started with 15 minutes on my stepper and added 5min every week until I was doing 30 minute sessions. Then I started doing the Insanity pulse recovery work out alternating with stepper days. I built from there. Now I do Insanity Max30 3-5 days a week, weights, stepper, and yoga on the other days.
Find something you can do and build on it. You will get back to where you were but it wont happen over night.2 -
I definitely can relate to your post. I use to love working out a few years ago and now I can't for the life of me get back into it. I've been trying different forms of exercise and nothing is making me want to get back into it.0

I always hated working out and then i realized it was because i really hated cardio. Once i learned how to do other things i really grew a passion for going everyday. Now i look at it as MY time and i enjoy every minute of it.0

I'm not a fan of cardio at the gym, but I love getting cardio outdoors, either walking in the woods or gardening. Last winter when the weather didn't cooperate I went to the ice skating rink, practiced yoga, or even walked around Walmart.0
