Thinking Summer and Beach

Hi all, back to MFP dor the December-May "get ready for summer" routine where I get back in the gym and count every last calorie to lose 15, maybe 20 this year (each year the number gets higher!). Interested if any others do this routine and when do you start? I begin before the holdays so holiday eating is less of a problem...

I am 69 years old. Was always thin until thyroid went hypo. Over last several years have gone from 160 to 230 and 5'11" tall. Now having trouble with right knee. Probably need a new one. I am miserable with the extra weight and will not consider knee replacement carry this weight. Need any help I can get. My daughter has lost over 50 lbs and kept it off the last couple years using this program so I am going to try my best. I am limited with exercise to walking at present and can't walk far at each time so thing multiple times each day. Arthritis is bad thru out my body. Any suggestions on how to hold on and keep moving forward.0
