What are some foods I can eat that are relatively low in carbs? I know chicken and some fish but what else, and what are some recipes I can use for chicken and fish.

Meat and most vegetables are low carb - that's pretty much the foundation of the diet. Vegetables and fat often are used in place of sugar, grains and starches. Are you sure low carb is right for you? Has your doctor told you to eat low carb, and if so, why? Do you know what carbohydrate is, where it is, what function it has? Do you know where/how to find recipes? Can you cook?0 -
I eat low carb-high fat (LCHF) and have done for nearly 3 years.
I've lost 37kg and am now a few kgs from my goal weight.
There is much research now being published on the benefits of following a ketogenic lifestyle.
This means... low carb, moderate protein and high fat.

butter, cheese, peanut butter, lard, oils, eggs are all low carb. - High protein + high fat = low carb.
