so last week I went crazy with food. I simply could not stop myself from keeping my mouth stuffed the whole day. EOD I was so uncomfortably full. Whole time I understood this is bad and that i need to stop, but just could not.

Any tips/tricks on how to stop midway?

The only way to stop one for me is to leave the house - go for a walk, anything. And keeping busy to stop it from happening.

Mindful eating. Every time you eat, pay attention. Make every mouthful count. In a positive way - "this tastes good and I'm nourishing my body", not in a negative way "I can eat this, I'll just have to run X miles to make up for it".

Sometimes we eat to fill a void of some sort. If it's emotional eating a brisk walk really can help. If it's hunger then you need to check to make sure you are eating enough calories, which you say you are, but how are they divided up? Sometimes when I find I'm falling into eating too much I look back and realize I am not getting enough veggies. I have the bad habit of eating too much starch. Protein is important too and a lack can make you ravenous. I have also found that if I eat larger meals and less snacks I seem to be satisfied longer. I know that's the opposite of what most experts tell you but that's been my experience.

Tips to stop include making sure you are eating enough each day. if you are limiting food too much then part of you will be desperate to override that. Keep hydrated so you don't mistake thirst for hunger. incorporate treats into your daily allowance. If you want to eat try filling up on fruit and veg. Getting enough sleep so you aren't craving sugar to wake you up and keep going.
If you think your bingeing is emotional then it's more difficult to deal with. Try and work out if you are eating for something to do, as a punishment or reward or if you are sad etc. Then you can try to deal with the emotions in other ways instead.

Some wonderful thoughts here. I have been thinking of this myself. I kind of figured out on the day mentioned above.
    1. I was all alone at home with nothing to do. Usually I am at office typing away at my keyboard most of the day. My hands had nothing to do.
    2. I drank way below my regular intake of water. so the thirst was confused for hunger.
    3. The foods were not necessarily bad. I had a lot of puffed wheat and roasted chickpeas, which made me uncomfortable later when I finally drank the required water.

Eating more than 20% carbs tends to make me hungry, I've found sticking to protein and low carb vegetables has cut my hunger drastically, except just before my period..
I get really hungry and binge just before my period, I've found eating foods with high iron content help, also not keeping much sweet or high calorie things at home helps to stop the pre-menstrual binge..

Lack of protein make me ravenous too. I crave anything and everything.

Long runs always suppress my appetite. Cardio in general

it does happen. slow down and take time to focus on what you are doing. and STOP, when you want to binge, walk out that door and go do some exercise.

Walking helps me.. it's difficult to remember that in the middle of the binge though..
