I have an IUD so I don't get real periods. I'll have spotting sometimes, but I still get the bloating and cramps and all the fun stuff. Guess whose scale is UP 9lbs this morning? EFF YOU SCALE!!!!! *cries into imaginary chocolate*

I have a weigh in tomorrow and my scale is being disrespectful!

1. I know I didn't eat in access of 31,500 calories above my maintenance. This is my logical self talking. It's not FAT gain. 31,500 calories divided over a week would have been 4,500 extra calories PER DAY! 4,500 extra calories above my maintenance calories which is 2,800 calories. I KNOW I didn't eat 7300 calories per day for a week to gain 9lbs in actual fat. I KNOW THIS!

2. Throw everything I said in #1 out of the window because I'm a lazy slob that obviously ate her weight in something for the scale to be up that high!

3. *cries some more*

I'm really upset because I've been below my sodium every day! >_< I hate woman problems.

Oh dear :( I see from your profile you have PCOS...i'm not too familiar with this condition but what little I've gathered in the forums seems to suggest that you would have hormonal swings? Could account for retained water and issues with loss/potential gain. Have you noticed swings like this before? Consulted your doctor? P.S. I LOVE your rewards list. (oh and the standard advice of opening your diary to the public could also apply.) Stay the course my dear :)

I track my food on a website my employer runs. I work for an insurance company so we get discounts on our premium for syncing our Fitbits/Garmins and meeting goals.

Anyway, I am currently eating about 2300 calories a day at a 30% Protein 30% Fat, and 40% Carb Macro Split.

It usually turns into 32% Fat 28% Protein 40% Carbs.

I'm not going over my calories. I don't eat my exercise calories back. I don't drink my calories.

I'm just shocked to see it up this week by that much.

I am fighting a kidney infection/stone and I was on medicine for 10 days and have been drinking about a gallon of water a day, but I'm peeing every 30 minutes! I can't imagine why I'm retaining so much! Even period water gain is 5lbs at the most! I'm double that!

I know the scale doesn't show the whole picture, but it's still upsetting.

    Thanks for letting me vent!

Kidney stone/infection also equals inflammation and further fluid retention above and beyond what you would consider normal. Could be additional weight from that.

Have you moved your scale into a different room (or even a different area in the same room)? If the floor isn't completely level, it can impact the read-out. Also, try changing the batteries before you freak out. Although, if you've been fighting an infection, it's not unusual to see a temporary water weight gain.

The scale is new and in the same place. I know it's water retention. It just sucks. lol
