Hi everyone

Just wanted to share my progress and hopefully give someone that bit of motivation to keep at it, the results are so worth the blood sweat and tears and when u reach that goal you can throw your arms in the air and scream like a champion cos thats what you truely are no matter how big or small your accomplishment cos no matter what anyone says losing weight is by far the hardest thing in anyones life to acheive.

My biggest tip to anyone would be is to find out what your problem is first. Do u over eat or do you eat lots high sugar or high fat foods.

My biggest problem was i didnt over eat i consumed alot of sugary foods and fried foods my biggest enemy was chocolate. Maybe you just need to exercise more.

And dont forget water water water. You will never loose weight unless you are properly hydrated.
(I never drank a drop my hole life hated it)

I cut my portion sizes right down i stop eating as soon as i was no longer hungry not until i was full.

I also cut out all sugar completely except for natural sugars in fruits etc but was very minimal.

I cut out all carbs ie: bread (no exceptions), pastas, rice etc

I didnt eat any starchy vegetables like potato, sweet potato etc.

I ate mostly steamed chicken breast and steamed veg or steamed fish and maximum twice a week a small portion of very lean red meat with veg.

My condements were zero and very minimum salt

Only very small amounts of extra virgin olive oil. Strickly no other fats or oils

Full dairy is fine and yogurt was ok as long as it was natural

And most importantly lots of water and a 30 minute brisk walk everyday just enough for u to feel hot. If u can still walk feel hot and still be able to hold a conversation your doing it right.

Tea and coffee is ok in moderation but sweeten with stevia.

Once you reach one month into it you can then start to introduce your 1 SPLURGE MEAL per week and only 1

    Hope this helps
I know it may not work for everyone but it worked for me proof is in the pics.

I lost 5 kgs in the first week.

My problem was i use to always snack and it was lollies chocolates or chips just junk and soft drink was a huge weakness of mine especially coke.

Oh and if u still crave a soda like drink coke zero is my saviour it has like 6 calories in a 600ml bottle its sweetened with stevia. But u cant have it everyday if u go out for dinner with the family then order a coke zero. Diet coke still has alot of sugar and has quite high cals even for a diet drink.

Thanks, I have a snacking issue and a general eating is out of control issue. I am also vegetarian (not for health reasons) so your strategy might be a bit tricky for me! I was interested to see that you did walking as your exercise, I thought it might have been something more intense. I am very big at the moment and find intense stuff like running hurts my joints and feet.

It obviously worked for you but do you have a long term plan? It sounds pretty tough in the long run. It actually sounds a lot like what a person I know who is a competitive body builder person eats. Her body fat% is very low and her muscle mass high but this has resulted in medical problems from inability to utilise fat soluble nutrients and derangement of her hormones that are fat dependent. She has been doing it for a couple years now and believes she is healthy but had a full medical for a job which says she is not.

Does your diet reintroduce other foods as you get to maintenance?

Please dont be fooled by diets and slaving at the gym it will never work long term. You need to make a permanent lifestyle change if something isnt working change it your body will tell you when you get it right iv been on shake replacement diets gym memberships etc many times for it to work rapidly for the first 2 weeks and then my body would go into starvation mode and store everything i put in my mouth and trust me hunger will always win. Its a proven fact that extreme cardio doesnt work it burns energy not fat. Keeping your heart rate to the point inbetween resting and completely pounding away is the fat burning point in which only super fit people like marathon runners can acheive at the gym on treadmills and weights will build mass. Brisk walking where you sweat but can talk to someone and hold a without completely puffing yourself out is the fat burning stage 30 mins is all you need if u wanna go longer awesome its up to you but dont push your body it will burn out and shut down fast and try to protect its self.
My tip if u walk with a partner great talk the hole way if u walk alone take your phone and catch up with a friend while you walk. Socialise while u work out i like that idea.

As for food we should only be eating a meal the size of your fist thats how big your stomach should be but we eat and eat and stretch it making us to over eat at every meal the brain takes about 5 mins to get the message hey you have eaten enough how much can u eat in 5 mins so eat slowly and until.you are no longer hungry trust me you will feel great. You wont wanna throw yourself on the couch and unbutton your pants like come on who actually enjoys that feeling.

If you need to snack in between meals thats ok it will take time to reprogram your brain about 2 - 3 months so be strict with yourself if you have eaten your fair share of calories have a drink of water or chew sugar free gum it always helps otherwise choose a handfull of raw nuts or an apple or banana they are great snacks but make it small just to get rid of that hunger.

REMEMBER this is a permanent lifestyle change not a diet you will be doing this forever now not 1 month or 6 months its forever. Once you get to know your body and understand it you can once every now and then i have 1 a week and thats a little treat of what ever you want but remember the fist size rule and only 1 x per week.

If we all make Healthier choices we will all have some much more respect and love for ourselves our husbands, wives and children will be happier too dont forget to love yourself, love your body hold your head up high and be proud of who you are. Do this and your body will love you back. Dont let anyone or anything bring you down cos you are the hero making changes and taking control.

A Negative mind will give Negative results.

    Together we CAN do this.

I am no professional i have just lost so many battles and have slowly figured out what my body was telling me and now become in sync with it.

Your brain is a very powerful tool and can be giving you all.the wrong messages like "im hungry" when in actual fact you arent you are probly sitting and bored or watching tv and out of bad habit feel the need to be chewing or eating something. So trick it and get up and go for a walk or go clean those windows you been meaning to do.

It will take time but u will figure it out dont do the same ruitine everyday your body will be expecting it change stuff up everyday keep that brain guessing.
